It’s already the end of October! With fall having kicked in with full force, and school taking its toll, now is still not the time to give up on your outfits. I know, fall fashion can get expensive and easier to lose track of, but it doesn’t have to be the case. You can still look good without breaking the bank, and here’s what you need:
a good (and inexpensive) neutral coat
Believe me when I say coats are the best things about fall, and you don’t need an expensive one to look good. A good coat makes for a perfect statement piece that’ll be sure to keep you warm if chosen, and worn, right. Neutral colours like white, grey, brown and black work well for fall. They go seamlessly with other fall colours, and can tie your look together. For example, grey, mustard yellow and black paired like so:
I can’t begin to lay emphasis on how important these are. Depending on your style, a sweater can be worn in numerous ways, but what’s key is to have the best of both worlds – loose enough to permit layering underneath, and fitted enough to be layered with.
Although there have been subtle changes in weather, this time of the year still permits the presence of jackets (leather, bomber etc) in your closet. Those jackets you’ve been meaning to wear but haven’t had the chance to? Dig them out. Now is the perfect time to wear them before winter springs its frosty self upon us.
Everyone knows that fall season = boot season. Who can be blamed? They go with basically every fall piece and instantly dress said pieces up. Pairing ankle, or knee high, boots with sweaters and coats is an easy, yet warm and fashionable, way to go. However, I’m here to tell you about sneakers. Not to say you should toss boots to the side, but when the weather (on a dry and sunny day) permits, play around with sneakers. Thankfully, they are so popular right now, so you don’t have to feel weird wearing them in fall while others may be wearing boots.
This is where your bags, scarves and jewelry come into play. You most certainly do not need to spend a lot on these to look well put together. A lot of companies now have good quality items for under $100 (even $50).
