Peaches are delicious fruits that can be used to make various recipes from appetizers, main courses and desserts. These fruits are amongst one of the most versatile and nutritious ingredients that should be present in every kitchen.

In this blog post, we will be exploring their use in three homemade recipes with aromatic mint leaves. However, it is important to note that peaches are seasonal and so opting to use canned peaches, especially California cling peaches offers almost the same benefits as if used in their fresh form. This is because, these peaches although in cans, are packed in their own juices ensuring the retainment of appearance, texture, flavour and nutritional content. In addition, several findings have shown that the canning process of peaches increases key nutrients including Vitamins A & C, and Folic acid upon consumption.

So, the recipes mentioned below will be utilizing canned California cling peaches in order to make them applicable for every season.

1 can of California cling peaches

1 lemon (freshly squeezed)

½ – 1 whole small ginger root (peeled and smashed)

¼ cup of sugar (or sweetener of choice: honey, etc)

Sprigs of mint (quantity of choice)

4 – 5 cups of water

1 large pitcher

  1. Transfer the peaches and its juice out from the can into a blender, and combine with ginger and a few mint leaves.

  4. Then combine peach and ginger purée into the pitcher, and add sugar or sweetener of choice.
  5. Add mint leaves into the combination as desired
