Looking for a different way to spend your weekend? Head to Casino Lac-Leamy. With so much to do there is something for everyone here. It’s only 5 minutes from Parliament Hill and you can easily spend your whole night at the casino.
Did you know that it’s the only casino in the world with a marina with direct access to a casino? You can take a boat all the way from Montreal and dock it here. How cool is that!? From the water you can see stunning exterior views of the Casino Lac-Leamy complex. You’ll also have a much closer view of the casino’s fountain. The fountain water jets so high you can view it all the way from the Ottawa locks!
Stay the night at their Hilton hotel. This 5 star hotel is one of the top 3 hotels in the world.
Arome is one of the casino’s many restaurants. It’s renowned for its surf and turf specialties and an impressive selection of wine. Not only will you fall in love with the menu but the amazing view as well. It’s the perfect spot for dinner with friends or a special date night. Make sure to reserve ahead of time because this place is in high demand. Ask to sit on the terrace and take in the beautiful view of the water while you eat. Try some of their delicious seafood or aged beef. Fridays and Saturdays starting at 5pm you can experience their Brazilian BBQ and enjoy their brochette’s on the grill.
They also have the Theatre du Casino that has shows ranging from comedy, music, theatre, magic and more. It’s the biggest show venue in the Outaouais region. You can see a list of upcoming shows here.
You’ll find all the classic casino games here and more. Another cool bonus to Casino Lac-Leamy is the zone, an interactive gaming area. This innovative concept allows you pick from multiple games at the screen in front of you. There are hosts at the front leading you through the games and keeping the energy going. If you have any problems the friendly hosts will come to your screen and walk you through it. They have 45 terminals available, allowing you to play with many people at once. Benefits of this area are the lively atmosphere and it allows you to play at your own pace.
Above is a shot of their cocktail Pur Blue one of their featured summer drinks from Bar 7. It’s delicious! Bar 7 is located at the heart of the gaming area. This bar is surrounded by open space allowing people to dance along to the live bands and DJ’s. There is also Alea Nightclub. Dance the night away surrounded by giant LED walls and multimedia projections while a DJ spins the beats.
Head to the casino in August for Les Grands Feux Casino Lac-Leamy. This international fireworks competition is part of my 40 things that should be on your summer bucketlist article.
