Imagine you and your friends trapped in a room and you are given a set of intricate clues with only 45 minutes on the clock to find the key that unlocks the door and ultimately your escape. Will you and can you escape? This is the mantra of the new popular kid on the block, Escape Manor.
The brainchild of four fellow Ottawans, Bill Rogers, Chris Bisson, Steve Wilson, and Neil Schwartz, Escape Manor has been able to provide a live interactive experience and fun getaway for the people of Ottawa, especially in a town that is often considered sleepy, boring or governmental.
With a maximum group number of 6 people, you will be locked in either of the three current rooms in the Manor; the wine cellar, the prison cell and the insane asylum room. The choice of room is entirely your decision to make but the escaping part is where it gets tricky.
Almost every review about Escape Manor is that it’s easy to get in but hard to get out, and this is exactly right. So if you or/and your friends are looking for something fun to do in the city of Ottawa, Escape Manor should be among your top 5 list of things to do.
With a downtown location on 201 Queen street in the heart of the city, and a somewhat affordable price of $21 (plus taxes), Escape Manor has become Ottawa’s next big hit for now and many more years to come.
