Happy Sunday everybody!
The sun is shining, the sky is blue, the birds are singing their favorite song and you are alive. Being alive is the single most important thing we take for granted every single day. But why?
We get so caught up in our everyday lives— eating, planning, playing, hanging, working, etc, and we totally forget that waking up each morning is the biggest blessing we could ever receive. I want to challenge all of you to make it your goal to wake up each morning and to be thankful for your life, and all that is to come throughout the day.
“Thank you universe for all that is to come in my day— the good, the bad and the ugly.”
I used to hate when bad things happened to me, and I would dread my life when they did. Not anymore. I now take these challenges head on and I ask myself what I learned from them, and how I can better myself as a human being.
Your life will be heavily impacted in the best of ways when you can get to a point where you take your bad situations and turn them into something beautiful.
What if everybody could say that it’s good to be alive today? I see so much more beauty and peace that’ll shadow over our world.
Think about everything that you know that is wrong with this world, whether terrorist attacks, political instability, HIV/AIDS and/or other diseases, poverty, hunger, etc.
I am not going to ask you to compare your situation with someone living in a poor, rural country, but I am going to tell you that you are a human being who gets another day at life, and looking at all that is happening in the world, should be enough to keep you going.
We have become materialistic. All of us, including myself. Having more stuff means we are richer.
I no longer want to be that person. I want to be enriched by life itself, and waking up with air in my lungs every morning with a smile on my face. I do not want things I can buy to dictate my happiness. While a plane ticket to Belize, Fiji or Hawaii would be AMAZING, I want to root my happiness in the Earth and in life itself before I can go to those places.
What are you thankful for today?
While you’re thinking about that, smile.
It’s good to be alive today.
Have a beautiful Sunday friends!
