In celebration of National Coffee Day, here are my top 5 coffee spots in Ottawa:
You’ll find this cute bakery at 195 Bank Street. Everything you find here is homemade. Stop by and grab a coffee and try one of their delicious baked goods. They have a great range of items from mini quiches, cookies, croissants, Börek and more. I suggest getting there earlier in the day because these items go fast. Stop by for your morning coffee or an afternoon pick me up. Their selection is amazing quality and tastes great.
Bridgehead is a fair trade coffee house with locations all over the city, mostly concentrated in the downtown core. Bridgehead roasts all of its coffee in-house. In my opinion, the best cappuccino in the city can be found at Bridgehead. If you’re a fan of cappuccino’s, it’s a must try!
Lacking some energy and need to power through the day? Head to Planet Coffee and get the Masterblast. It’s a combination of espresso and coffee that is sure to power you through the day. You’ll find this coffee shop nestled in the Byward Market Courtyard. Grab a drink and one of their delicious desserts. They only accept cash so make sure you have some on hand before you go.
This is my favourite coffee spot in Ottawa because of its great atmosphere and drink selection. You’ll find The Ministry of Coffee on Elgin Street. They have a great selection of drinks including some unique options like this Nutella Latte. Each time I go I like to try something different. Each drink is crafted to perfection and tastes as amazing as it looks. This cozy café is the perfect spot to meet up with friends and catch up.
Nestled in the heart of Carp, its no wonder Carp locals love Alice’s Village Café. You’ll find a welcoming atmosphere, great food, and of course, great coffee. Stop by on a Sunday for brunch, you won’t be disappointed. Grab a coffee and one of their amazing sandwiches. Their soup and sandwich combo is perfect for the colder temperatures.
