Mental Health and the issues surrounding mental health have been topics of discourse for a long time, with the consensus being that these issues need to be addressed and stigma within the society need to be eradicated.

This notion is also supported by the student board at the University of Ottawa. They have decided to host a 3-day event that will shine more light on mental health issues, societal awareness, introduce student health resources and programs, as well as host a fund raising gala, where all the proceeds generated will be contributed to organizations that promote youth programs for mental health in the city of Ottawa.

This event appropriately called, Students Against Stigma will take place on the grounds of the University of Ottawa campus from Jan. 27-29 at Tabaret Hall on 75 Laurier Avenue East. For more information, visit their official website.
